Preparation for the Lord Supper (for both members and visitors)
In order to prepare yourself to receive Christ's body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins and the strengthening of your soul, please ask yourself the following questions:
Everyone is asked to sign attendance the books
They are located in each pew near the center aisle. Pass them to the end of your row during collection of the offering or before the service. Visitors, please include your address and members note any address changes.
Offering
Offering envelopes have been placed in the pew holder for visitors or members. Members, please remember to place your envelope number on the front to receive credit for your yearly statement.
Standing and sitting
During worship we do a lot of standing. Please know that you may remain seated during worship , especially if getting up will cause you pain. The same holds true for communion. If it is too uncomfortable for you to kneel, please remain standing.
Parents
We love having children in worship! It reminds us that the Lord Jesus always welcomed little ones to him and embraced them. If you feel the need to take your child out for whatever reason, there's a room next to the sanctuary as a designated cry room/ child's room. Please feel free to use it. Also, there are children's busy bags hanging on the coat rack and also a children's page on the table with the bulletins in the Narthex.
In order to prepare yourself to receive Christ's body and blood for the forgiveness of your sins and the strengthening of your soul, please ask yourself the following questions:
- Am I sorry for my sins?
- Do I believe that Christ's body and blood are present in, with, and under the bread and wine in this sacrament?
- Do I believe that I receive the forgiveness of sins through this sacrament?
- Have I asked for forgiveness from all against whom I have sinned and have I forgiven all who have sinned against me?
